Kehlani is an American singer, songwriter and dancer, signed to Atlantic Records. Kehlani was born april 24th she is originally from Oakland, California. Her full name is Kehlani Ashley Parrish she was also on "America Got Talent" she had finished at the fourth place on the sixth season. Kehlani singing career began when she started out as a member and lead vocalist for the group called PopLyfe. PopLyfe also toured with Disney's Shake It Up star Zendaya on her Swag It Out Tour. Kehlani end up leaving the band after the six season of "America's Got Talent" kehlani left because of several managerial and contractual disputes. She started singing later and earned name and fame with her solo mix tape "You Should Be Here" and was signed to Atlantic Records in early 2015. Later on down the road she released her album "SweetSexySavage" in January 27, 2017. The singer kehlani released her first solo "ANTISUMMERLUV" on SoundCloud. Cannon listened to her song, called her back and gave her an apartment in Los Angeles and also gave her studio time along with it.
A few years ago Kehlani was a homeless she later on she made a song called "yet" where she's talks about being homeless and not having much to eat. She has described her ethnicity as a mix of "black, white, Native American, Filipino, and Spanish." Her father was African-American and her mother has been described as "mostly white, Spanish and Native American." She was adopted and raised by her aunt when her mother, who had a drug addiction, served time in prison. In 2014, the studio time culminated in the release of her first mixtape, called Cloud 19. In January 2016, it was confirmed that Kehlani was in a relationship with star NBA point guard for then the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving. In April 2018, Kehlani posted on Twitter stated that she identified with the term queer over gay because gay "always insisted there was still a line drawn as to which 'label' of human i was attracted."
